The W3 Awards celebrates digital excellence by honouring outstanding Websites,  Marketing, Video,  Mobile Sites & Apps, Social and Podcasts created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide.

The W3 is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms, including the Creative Director of Spotify, the Founder & CEO of StudioLabs (NYC), among others. This year the W3 had over 3,000 entries from countries across the globe and A.K.A. has been awarded in 4 separate categories.

Building on the success of this years Webby Award and Webby People's Choice Award for BeThere.org, it is an honour for the work that A.K.A. does to be recognized by other leaders in our industry.  The hard work, talent and care, contributed by the whole A.K.A. team, not only contributes to the success of projects such as these, but in turn, also helps to support and raise awareness about A.K.A.’s clients and their important missions.

For over 50 years, a vision of “excellent kidney health, optimal quality of life and a cure for kidney disease” has guided the Kidney Foundation of Canada to be a collaborative, inventive and focused leader in the development of programs, services, research opportunities and awareness campaigns that have had a positive impact on the millions of Canadians living with, or at risk of developing kidney disease.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada needed a new website that would better support their vision, inspire their constituents and capitalize on current web best-practices. The result is an immersive, user-friendly, best-in-class website.  The website, built on Kentico CMS, integrates with AKA raisin’s new General Donation module. As the Kidney Foundation of Canada has chapter locations across Canada, the new website utilizes geo-location settings to display dynamic content to users based on their location.

Check out the new website here and make a donation that will help the foundation advocate for those living with kidney disease and bring hope for their future.
