Developing a Digital Strategy
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be posting a 4 part series on how to develop a digital strategy.

What is a Digital Strategy?
Digital strategy is the process of translating your organization’s goals into a plan that will create effective digital marketing initiatives.

A digital strategy is the who, what, when, and where of listening and responding to customers,  bridging brand experiences, iterating offerings, and collecting and activating consumer relationships in order to accomplish actionable and measurable objectives.

Why Is It Important?
It provides your campaigns and projects with guidance and insight to ensure that all of your work is aligned with the overall goals of the organization.

A digital strategy should help to define broad principles on how to engage with new technologies and platforms when they appear, and what technologies are part of the organization's core business, but it also needs to focus on people and how they behave and what they need from digital platforms.

Once initially established, a digital strategy is an ongoing process. The digital strategy becomes a “living” document that needs to be reviewed, adjusted and calibrated on a regular basis.
